The Tamilnadu Engineering Admission Online (tneaonline.in) server has been down on Monday after at least 7,000 out of the total of 9,872 students who were called for the first round has made the initial payment. The first round students who have paid the initial fee already are required to fill and lock their choices by Wednesday, July 10, 2019. Thus, students are anxious to know whether they will be able to have access to the site on Tuesday.

"The server is still down, we are just worried if it will be up and running tomorrow. Aspirants have to lock their choices by Wednesday, which is a cause of concern for all of us. The DoTE is also not picking up our calls. We are just anxious to know if the website will be working tomorrow," a parent, whose son is also trying to apply said.

The adding and locking of the students' choices are being held on a round-wise basis for the candidates as per the allotted ranks published in the rank list released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu. All the candidates who have qualified have to fill in their preference for the course and the colleges to be eligible for consideration in the seat allotment process.

Candidates who appeared for TNEA 2019 and secured ranks between one and 9,872 and have completed the initial payment process can now participate in the choice filling procedure that is open till July 11, 2019.
