On August 24, an SS Law College student's video alleging sexual harassment by BJP leader Swami Chinmayanand went viral. Ever since, she has been missing. Parents of the law student alleged that the former Union Minister and BJP leader is responsible for their daughter's disappearance.

In the video, the student introduces herself as being an LLM student from SS Law College in Shahjahanpur. She says that there is a 'big politician' from 'Sant Samaj' who has ruined her life and the lives of many other women. "He has gone so far as to say he will kill my entire family. I don't know how I have been tolerating this for so long," she says tearfully in the video.

She appeals to PM Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath for help and pleads with them to intervene in the matter. "Modi ji, please help me. That Sanyasi says he has the police in his control, so he threatens me and says nobody can do anything to him. But I have all the evidence to prove what he's done. I request you to help me get justice," she says towards the end of the video.

Speaking to ANI, the parents of the girl alleged that ever since the video had gone viral, their daughter has gone missing. The missing girl's father said, "We have informed the police that our daughter has gone missing. Chinmayanand is responsible for this. Police have not registered a complaint against him as he is an influential person." He went on to add, "If anything happens to our daughter, then the police and the state administration will be responsible for it."

Meanwhile, Chinmayanand's lawyer has alleged that on August 22, the BJP leader got a message on his mobile phone from an unknown number demanding Rs 5 crore and threatening that if the money is not given, then they will release an explicit video of the leader. The lawyer said that he has also given a complaint to the police in this regard.
