Tamil Nadu School Education Department designs new admission form to attract students and parents

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department in its latest efforts to woo more students to government schools has designed a new admission form with the Tamil Nadu government's logo on it. 

A senior official said, as per Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) guidelines, already the school education department has been uploading the school student details in Education Management Information System (EMIS) portal every year.

"In the new form, the department has included 21 categories of student details — mobile number, blood group, weight and height and Aadhar number. This new form will be uploaded in the EMIS portal shortly. Headmasters can simply download the form and conduct admission," a senior official said.
