Tamil Nadu +2 result 2019: Tirupur tops with 95% successful, Chennai lags at 93%

The results for Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination 2019 were declared on April 19 at 9: 30 am. And 91.03 per cent of the 8.8 lakh students who had appeared for the plus two examination has passed. A total of 94.64 per cent female students have passed while only 88.57 per cent of the male students succeded to clear the exam. The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary public exam was conducted from March 1 to March 19.

Pass percentage in government schools across the state is only 84.76 per cent. But government-aided and private schools have performed better with a pass percentage of 93.64 per cent and 98.26 per cent respectively. A total of 1281 schools out of 7083 schools in the state have recorded a cent-per-cent pass percentage.

Government schools in Kanyakumari recorded a pass percentage of 92.64 per cent in the plus two exams. Tirupur registered the highest pass percentage of 95.37 per cent among the districts, followed by Erode (95.23%) and Coimbatore (95.01%). But only 92.96 per cent of students in the state capital, Chennai, managed to clear the exam.
