The clock is ticking for the NEET aspirants across the country. Determined not to repeat the chaos that happened at many centres last year, NEET authorities have released some important dos and don'ts for the entrance exam to be held on May 6.

While you finish your last revisions, here is a simple list of things that you must follow for a hassle-free entry into the exam hall: 

Here are some dos:

- Use only a black ball pen to fill-in the error-free particulars

- Check the test-booklet for missing or torn pages. 

- Obey the invigilators regarding the hall rules and maintain silence 

- Don't panic. Try solving the questions that are easier and then go for the tough ones. 

The dress code: 

- Male applicants to wear light-coloured clothes. They can wear jeans, shirts with medium-sized buttons.

- Kurta Payjama won't be allowed inside the exam hall

- Sikh Male candidates can wear turbans starting this year  

- No shoes, wear only sandals or slippers

- Girls can wear light half sleeve clothes without any brooch or badge. 

- Salwars and trousers are allowed for the girls

- Female Muslim candidates can wear Hijab and Burqa but should report an hour early at the centres

- Jewellery  on female candidates is also discouraged 

- Only married female candidates can wear bangles 

Here are the things you should not carry to the exam hall: 

- Text material, pencil box, plastic, paper chits, digital calculator, scale, pen drives, eraser, electronic scanner etc

- Communication devices including health band and pager

- Camera or watch or bracelets 

- Accessories like handbags, belts, scarf, sunglasses etc
