The admission season is around the corner and your choice of college will decide your future. So before you pick the university and your college, here are the top 10 Universities with rank and placement record, as per NIRF rankings 2018 declared by Union Ministry of Human Resource Development this May.

NIRF rankings, that involve over 4,500 institutes participating in the league, judge colleges, universities and institutes based on faculty, infrastructure and resources, research and placements.

Bengaluru's Indian Institute of Science is on top among the top 10 Universities with placement record, for obvious reasons. It scored 82.16% in the 'top universities in India ranking' category. Following it closely is Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) that is best known for its politically-involved faculty and students. Based in Delhi, it is also famous for post-graduation and research courses in Political Science and International Relations.

University of Delhi takes the seventh position in the top ten universities in India. The university, founded in 1922 houses more than 1.3 lakh students, most of which (1.4 Lakh), include the undergraduates. It also has a healthy population of international students.

Bagging the last position in the top 10 list is Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) that spreads across 460 hectares in Aligarh. It offers more than 300 courses and has three more centres in the country, finding itself among the top universities of India.
