DUSU joint secretary Uma Shankar fails exams. What will happen to his seat?

EdexLive Desk

Delhi University first semester results were out recently and it is not a delightful moment for the ABVP because, reportedly, Delhi University Students' Union joint secretary Uma Shankar has been declared as 'fail' in the exam.

Given the fact that this BA (H) Sanskrit student did not appear for any of the exams that were held in November-December 2017, the Motilal Nehru College student was declared 'disqualified' by the university.

That's not it. Reportedly and as per the university's norms, the joint secretary is also bound to lose his position in the office.

Reacting to this, JNU's Shehla Rashid tweeted:

Both ABVP office-bearers in DUSU set to lose their seats because both of them are likely to have their studentship cancelled. DUSU Joint Secretary Uma Shankar failed exams and DUSU Gen Sec Mahamedha Nagar doesn't have the required attendance.
