Five things that may easily annoy you if you are unmarried at 25

Abirami Nagarajan

Being single at 25 is as tough as understanding Calculus (technically there is no link between these two), but just like this, people you have no link or no connection with will just barge into your life to ask you THAT question: When are you planning to get married? If that's not enough, there is always social media to remind you that the clock is ticking.

Facebook friends

Have a lot of friends? Brace yourself while your Facebook friends make their entire wedding look like a movie on your Facebook timeline. That's not it. You can expect a fresh post every week.

Here they come: Relatives

It is still a mystery how they find the right time to come into your life to put you into trouble. Be it your class 10,12 or semester results, they would knock your door even before the universities and schools decide to announce the results. This doesn't stop here — they even know when it is the perfect time for you to get married.

The "you are next" slogan at the wedding

These people fall into the category that corrupt your parents' brain telling them, "She's the next! She's the next". All you can do is chant in your head: Stop trying to ruin my life for your mission to taste another set of wedding sweets! (with a poker smile, of course)

Stay away! You #couplegoals people

When you are having a peaceful and a mind-your-own-business-day, an old friend might call you for a party. But there is a catch — it's a couple entry party (unless you want to bear the cost of stag). Needless to say, you feel like it's time to leave the Earth.

Brain-O-brain

When there is nobody to annoy you, your 2 AM brain wakes up to analyse everything from your friend's wedding lehenga to Sharma aunty's life advice to settle down. And you end up sleeping with a thought: Should I have a cat or dog to keep me company when I am 40 and SINGLE?
