Research call: Taiwan fellowship registration to begin in May 2018

Applications for "Taiwan Fellowship" offered to Indian scholars and researchers for conducting advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan will be opened soon in May 2018. The successful applicants will begin their research in Taiwan in January 2019.

The terms of fellowship are 3 to 12 months. The fellowship offers monthly stipends of NT$50,000 (approximately US$1,650) to NT$60,000 (approximately US$2,000), and one round-trip, economy-class flight ticket to Taiwan.

Interested candidates can apply from May 1st to June 30th, 2018.

The researcher's subjects should be related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, the Asia-Pacific region, and Sinology. Eligible candidates include professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students at related departments of universities, or research fellows at an equivalent level in academic institutions.
