Years ago, students would rush to school on the day of their results to find their names on the notice board. Later, students would click incessantly on their phones and computers to get their results, but now all the students have to do is wait for a beep on their phones as the Tamil Nadu government has promised to send the results immediately. At least, no more jamming due to website traffic anymore.

As usual, students will be able to access their 12th state board exam results tnresults.nic.in but according to sources, this is probably the first time ever that students will directly get their marks on their previously registered phone numbers.

The official announcement of the results will be at 10 am tomorrow and ten minutes later, the students will be sent a message with their marks.Previously, students could send an SMS with certain details to a number and receive the marks, however for students to be sent the marks is new.

A total of 8.89 students appeared for the exam this year and last year's batch of students saw a 91.4 percent of student pass the board exams, a raise from 90.4 percent from 2015. Here's hoping the percentage increases this year too. All the best, students!
