A‘Sports Management Programme’ has been launched by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) in collaboration with the Centre of Sports and Management Studies (CS&MS), to prepare the passionate sports lovers for a career that combines Business and Sport. 

With sports growing in country there is a huge requirement of qualified and trained professionals, who know their jobs, be it in video and data analysis, coaching and strength and conditioning, logistics and event management, or handling contracts, media interactions, photoshoots, brand management and merchandising, sales and marketing and PR, etc. This is where the sports management courses come in, with their specialised hands-on training.  

The specialised curriculum for this certification helps to develop skills and knowledge that sports management staff previously gained by trial and error, or through on-the-job-training. Direct Industry Affiliations with Sports Management companies would be associated with the course.    

With this, those who love sports but have not found their place on an elite sports team need not get despair, as they can make their dream fulfil as a sports management professional, working with top teams and players.
