Delhi Students emerge victorious in the Olympiad Awards 2016-17

Six students from New Delhi secured the International Rank in the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) Olympiad Awards. Over 42,800 schools from 1,400 cities across 25 countries participated in the six SOF Olympiad exams during 2016-17 and around 45 lakh students appeared at the Indian Habitat Center in the capital. Mr Mahabir Singh, the Founder & Director of SOF, shared that about 42,000 students from 5,100 schools have been awarded for achieving top state level ranks and that 8,00,000 students have been awarded “Medals of Excellence”.

The International  2nd rank for the International Mathematical Olympiad was bagged by Sarthak Mehndiratta of class 7 from Gyan Bharati School and Tanishq Gupta of class 12 from Kulachi Hansraj Model School. Sagnik Anupam of class 9 from Delhi Public School won in the National Cyber Olympiad, followed by Lavanya Singh of class 3 from Presidium School in the International Sports Knowledge Olympiad.The winners of the International English Olympiad was Smera Goel of class 11 from N.K. Bagrodia Public School and Anant Narayan of class 7 from Sanskriti School. Each student received a silver medal with Rs. 25,000 cash each for the rank. In the International Company Secretaries Olympiad (ICSO), International rank 3 was bagged by Chetna Bhagat of class 11 from Modern School was awarded a bronze medal and Rs. 50,000 cash.
