XLRI Announces Admissions to Post Graduate Programme for Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management

Xavier School of Management (XLRI) announces admission to the Post Graduate Programme for Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management for 2017- 18. The last date for online registration is 23rd June 2017. This full time 6-month residential programme has been designed by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) of XLRI to provide competency-based education to the candidates.

Besides the usual inputs on functional areas of business like finance, marketing, human resource management, economics and strategy, the curriculum focuses on specific relevant topics in entrepreneurship in India like Family Business, Techno-Entrepreneurship and Agri-Business Management. The programme also includes a separate subject on Social Enterprises, which has evolved as a distinct form of entrepreneurial ventures in the country, in addition to a Project Formulation component under the mentorship of an expert member of the faculty.

Professor Vishwa Ballabh, Chairperson of the EDC said, “The programme was launched in 2009 with the ultimate objective to create effective and successful entrepreneurs. This year, the Institute is making efforts to increase the share of women candidates as well as those from the weaker sections of the society. 50% of seats in this programme have been reserved for candidates of Jharkhand State. The remaining are drawn from different parts of the country." The course fees amounts to Rs. 90,000/- plus 15% Service tax. The applicant to this programme has to be a graduate from a recognized university with an inclination for entrepreneurship.
