The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Institution & Research (JIPMER), the oldest institute to teach European medicine in Asia has appointed Dr. K M Cherian, Chairman and CEO of Frontier Lifeline Hospital as a member of the high level advisory group for their centre of organ transplantation.

JIPMER is preparing a concept proposal to establish a centre for organ transplantation which is proposed to include all transplantation activities of all organs, related teaching and research under one roof. Considering Dr. Cherian’s extensive experience in the field of organ transplantation, Dr Subhash Chandra Parija, Director, JIPMER requested Dr Cherian to be a member of high level advisory group for the centre of organ transplantation.

Commenting on the appointment Dr. K M Cherian said, "I am extremely honoured to be a part of this organisation and pleased to have accepted this role. With a strong team and my experience, I will strive to take the group ahead to meet the expectation of healthcare space”.  Dr. Cherian has been committed with the Health care needs of Puducherry where he started Puducherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) as early as 2000.  He continues to serve the patients at the Indira Gandhi Govt Hospital (IGGGH) providing necessary support cardiac surgeries.

He has been instrumental in creating process efficiency in hospital operations and I am sure his presence and expertise will be highly valuable for our new project.”
