The CET Cell will announce the MHT CET CAP Round 3 result 2026 on August 24. Candidates participating in the CAP for first-year engineering admissions can check their allotment on the official FE 2026 portal.
The Round 3 option form submission and confirmation window is currently underway. Candidates were required to submit and confirm their preferences through their login during the prescribed period. The provisional vacant-seat position for Round 3 was also made available before the option-entry window.
Once the Round 3 result is declared, candidates allotted a seat for the first time must self-verify the allotment and complete the seat acceptance process by paying the prescribed fee through their login
The important point for candidates is the betterment option. Not every candidate allotted a seat in Round 3 will be eligible to continue seeking an upgrade
Candidates who are allotted a seat within their first six preferences will have their allotment auto-frozen. Such candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee and will not be eligible to participate in subsequent CAP rounds
On the other hand, candidates who receive a seat beyond their first six preferences and want to try for a better choice can select the 'Not Freeze/Betterment' option
They must accept the allotted seat and pay the seat acceptance fee through their candidate login to remain eligible for betterment in the subsequent round
Candidates allotted a seat beyond their first six preferences who choose to self-freeze will not be considered for further rounds. Therefore, students should exercise caution while selecting the freeze or betterment option.
