Karnataka Examinations Authority is expected to declare the official KSET Cutoff 2026 along with the final result soon. The window to file objections to the provisional result closed on October 24, and the SC certificate number correction window closed on October 28. Therefore, KEA is expected to declare the final result along with the cutoff list soon. In 2025, the final result and cutoffs were declared within a week after the announcement of provisional results. Latest updates on the KSET result and cutoff can be checked through this live blog.
KSET Cutoff 2026 Link & Final Result Link - To be Released
KEA released the final answer key on October 23, through which the final result shall be prepared. As per the final answer key, grace marks were awarded in almost 10 subjects, and the answer key for certain questions changed across the subjects. Management subject has the highest grace marks, i.e., 10 marks, and this may clearly impact the cutoff marks. As per the previous years' cutoff trends, the cutoff for the management subject might go beyond 200 marks. However, this analysis is based on the 2025 cutoff marks only.
The cutoff marks will be released for all subjects and categories. Similar to last year, the SC category cutoffs will be released for Category 1, 2 and 3.
KEA’s General Merit cutoff for Computer Science & Applications was 158/300 in 2023, 154/300 in 2024 and 160/300 in 2025. These are historical figures, not the 2026 cutoff. A year-on-year increase or decrease describes past results only. It does not establish the level of the 2026 final cutoff, which must be checked in KEA's own subject-wise and category-wise announcement when available.
KEA’s General Merit cutoff for Commerce was 166/300 in 2023, 156/300 in 2024 and 172/300 in 2025. These are historical figures, not the 2026 cutoff. Cutoffs depend on the subject and reservation category, so a single statewide figure cannot describe every candidate's position. Read the year, subject name and category heading together before comparing marks across KEA's published tables.
KEA’s General Merit cutoff for Chemical Science was 160/300 in 2023, 156/300 in 2024 and 154/300 in 2025. These are historical figures, not the 2026 cutoff. These are historical KEA figures, not the KSET 2026 cutoff. Comparisons are useful for understanding past variation, but candidates should not treat an earlier year's qualifying mark as a target or a forecast for this session.
If KEA issues a correction, revised list or clarification, the latest dated official notice should take precedence over older lists. When checking a result, match the subject, category and personal particulars against the submitted application. Any available correction or objection process must be followed within the dates and method explicitly specified by KEA.
KEA’s past cutoff lists distinguish subjects, reservation categories and separate PwD or transgender columns where applicable. A year-on-year increase or decrease describes past results only. It does not establish the level of the 2026 final cutoff, which must be checked in KEA's own subject-wise and category-wise announcement when available. Students and parents should check the relevant official notice directly, rather than rely on unverified summaries, before taking action.
Historical thresholds describe earlier selection outcomes. They do not establish the cutoff for the current examination. Cutoffs depend on the subject and reservation category, so a single statewide figure cannot describe every candidate's position. Read the year, subject name and category heading together before comparing marks across KEA's published tables.
A candidate should compare a score only with the matching subject and applicable category in the relevant year’s official PDF. These are historical KEA figures, not the KSET 2026 cutoff. Comparisons are useful for understanding past variation, but candidates should not treat an earlier year's qualifying mark as a target or a forecast for this session.
GM is the General Merit column in the KEA cutoff tables. It should not be confused with the PwD or transgender subcolumns. The 2025 KEA tables use SC A, SC B and SC C headings, whereas earlier years' may show a combined SC category. These classifications should not be treated as directly interchangeable in historical comparisons.
The last three years' official cutoff PDFs present category-wise cutoff marks against a maximum of 300 marks. A year-on-year increase or decrease describes past results only. It does not establish the level of the 2026 final cutoff, which must be checked in KEA's own subject-wise and category-wise announcement when available. Students and parents should check the relevant official notice directly, rather than rely on unverified summaries, before taking action.
A KSET cutoff is not one universal mark. KEA’s historical PDFs publish different thresholds for individual subjects and categories.
Past KEA cutoff PDFs describe candidates as provisionally qualified. Qualification and later document scrutiny are distinct steps that actually determine the final eligibility.
Check the examination year, candidate details, subject, category, score and qualification status against the information submitted during registration.
A result login may show an individual candidate’s status, while the cutoff PDF can publish subject-wise and category-wise marks. Candidates should check both when officially available.
Use the official Karnataka Examinations Authority website and its KSET notice or result section. Avoid relying on forwarded screenshots or unofficial result links.
The key pending developments are the final result access link, subject-wise and category-wise cutoff list, and any subsequent certificate-verification notice. Treat each as a separate announcement until KEA publishes it.
KEA accepted objections on provisional result which clearly indicates that there might be few changes in the final result. However, the scores of all candidates may not change. The provisional result has been prepared after adding the grace marks for certain subjects.
