CG DME was supposed to release the Round 1 NEET UG seat allotment 2026 on August 20, but the announcement has been delayed due to the revision of MCC NEET UG Round 1 counselling dates 2026. As the AIQ final seat allotment for Round 1 is released on August 22, Chhattisgarh DME is expected to publish the revised seat allotment schedule anytime soon. All states declare state-level allotment results only after the conclusion of the AIQ Round 1 seat allotment process.

CG DME released the NEET UG merit list 2026 on August 18. The choice-filling process closed on August 17. Only those students who featured on the merit list will be eligible for the seat allotment process. CG DME might conduct 2-3 rounds of NEET UG counselling depending on the number of vacant seats after each round.

Allotment is not based on rank alone. It operates on the combination of merit position, applicable category/quota and the choices submitted by the candidate. The course and college will be allotted according to the candidate's position in the merit list and the choices available at that stage. The allotment result will be displayed on the Directorate's website.

After allotment, candidates must report to the allotted institution within the prescribed deadline and undergo original-document verification. Failure to appear for verification within the stipulated period can result in the candidate being removed from the counselling/admission process.

For admission, candidates must also meet the prescribed medical fitness requirement. Admission is granted only after successful document verification and medical examination.
