The National Testing Agency is conducting the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) for PhD admissions and teaching posts today, June 26.
The exam is held in two shifts. Shift 1 is held from 9 am to 12 noon, while Shift 2 goes on from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Students who appeared for the first shift of the UGC-NET say that the paper was easy to moderate, and questions related to Bollywood and Indian cinema were also asked. However, the students say that they weren’t tested on Teaching Aptitude, Shiksha reports.
Memory sequencing, logical fallacies, data interpretation, and syllogism were some of the other topics that were tested in UGC-NET 2025.
The UGC NET 2025 June session is being conducted for 85 subjects from June 25 to June 29, 2025. The exam is held in computer-based mode (CBT).
UGC-NET has two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The test lasts three hours and consists of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) spread across two papers. Each question carries two marks. There are no penalty points for wrong responses.
