A team of students from Crescent Castle Public School, Ooty, has done The Nilgiris proud by getting selected to work with scientists at the National Science Concours (NSC) in Garden City University Bengaluru.

“This followed our students successfully clearing the online Science test and presenting Science-based projects. They were among the 60 shortlisted budding scientists from all over India. They had the unique experience of working with scientists specialising in various fields for five days. They have now returned with a greater urge to contribute significantly to the application of Science for humanity’s welfare,” Crescent Correspondent Umar Farouk told Express on Wednesday.

“Significantly, our Grade 8 student S R Sreshith was crowned ‘Junior Scientist’ for his project ‘A mobile charger with a volt battery’,” he said.

The NSC encourages students to learn Science on experimental basis, that is, by doing and think out-of-the-box to create scientific masterpieces for practical application in life. This motivates students to become praiseworthy scientists.
