IIT Hyderabad to start All Course M Tech programme

The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H) will start an All Course M Tech programme from the forthcoming academic session. The current two-year course consists of two semesters of coursework followed by 14 months of research. The programme can be completed in three to four semesters, a release said. IIT Hyderabad Director Professor U B Desai said, "Indian industries need a highly skilled workforce equipped with the latest developments and practises, we believe this can be achieved through an exhaustive set of courses.

The programme offers specialisations in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering from August 2017." On the successful completion of the programme, the student will receive an M Tech degree. The candidates will be selected through initial shortlisting followed by a written test and an interview, the release added.
