As a child, he yanked off the off button from his alarm so that he could get up on time. When he grew up, he would fly economy and call his employees co-workers. He drove around in an old Volvo and refrained from interviews. This is the same man who believed in making home furnishings affordable and did so by starting Ikea which is actually an abbreviation for Ingvar Kamprad from Elmtaryd, Agunnaryd, his hometown.

The Swedish billionaire business magnate passed away on January 27, 2018 and left behind a rich legacy of ready-to-assemble furniture that is chic yet pocket-friendly. Ikea said Hej Hyderabad (Hi Hyderabad in Swedish) on August 9, 2018 when it opened its first store in India in the City of Nizams and over 40,000 curious customers dropped by on the first day itself.
