Donald Trump is many things. And misogynist is one of the worst things he is. Hence, are we surprised that on the day when USA's 45th President stepped into the White House, which was on January 21, 2017, a humongous women's march was launched all over the world? The man known to have made disparaging remarks, gestures, actions and what not against the fairer sex brought this march, the participants of which were so many that they outnumbered the people present on the day of his inauguration, upon himself. Over one million women, accompanied by a few men, turned up in the US alone.

'I'm afraid', 'You can't comb over sexism', 'Who's the boss? We are', 'The future is still female' and many other signs were displayed by women during the march. Several high-profile public figures like feminist icon Gloria Steinem, actor Scarlett Johansson, filmmaker Michael Moore put their weight behind the march by showing up and delivering powerful speeches.

The results of the first general elections were declared on January 21, 1952, in India and Indian National Congress had emerged victorious by winning as many as 364 seats. This made Jawahar Lal Nehru the first Prime Minister of India. As many as 53 political parties had contested the elections.
