CBSE CTET 2019: Where and how to download admit cards

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently released the admit cards for its upcoming CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) which will be conducted on Sunday – December 8, 2019. Paper-I will be held from 9:30 am to noon and Paper-II from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. it will be conducted in 110 centres across India.

What is CTET?

CTET is is a national-level exam conducted by CBSE twice a year to shortlist candidates for appointment as teachers in classes I to VIII. Candidates who aim to teach students of classes I-V need to appear only for Paper-I, while candidates who desire to teach students of classes  VI-VIII need to write Paper-II also. And candidates who plan to teach classes I-VIII need to appear for both the papers. Every year, over 20 lakh aspirants write the CTET exam in the hopes of landing a much sought-after teaching job. In 2018, a total of  23.77 lakh people wrote the CTET exam out of which 3.52 lakh qualified.

How to download the CTET admit card?

Follow the following points to download your admit card:

Log on to ctet.nic.in - this is the official CTET website

While on the homepage, click the link that says 'Download admit card'

A new tab will open which will ask for your log-in details. Type in the right credentials and click submit

The CTET admit card will then appear on the screen. Download it right away. It is also advisable to save the page for future reference

CBSE will announce the CTET result on the official website - ctet.nic.in. Candidates who qualify the exam get a CTET eligibility certificate, the validity of which is seven years from the date of declaration of result.
