Wondering what to do and where to eat in Hyderabad? This Instagram handle will guide you

Seema Rajpal

Need a genuine buddy in Hyderabad, who (just like your best friend) can tell you if that restaurant you've been dying to try out is really as good as the reviews say, or if that event you missed really ran with a full house? Look no further than the Instagram for Hyderabuddy, a page that gives you honest reviews.

Run by true blue Hyderabadis Manasi Chaudhari, who is a lawyer by profession, and Pallak Sancheti, who owns an advertising agency, this handle has over 2,000 followers. And it doesn't only post about food reviews, but also reviews of movies and events as well, from Numaish to the recent Hyderabad Literary Fest. And their USP is definitely their honesty, believes 26-year-old Chaudhari. "We are self-funded, we get no ADs, nor are we associated with any media channels," she says.

Your friends: Manasi Chaudhari and Pallak Sancheti, Hyderabuddy founders

Like most things in life, there's always a reason for everything. So, what was the duo's reason to start Hyderabuddy? It's obviously because no one has the time to put up with ‘average’ and people should also stand up against those who serve just that. In the past, they've called out a popular entertainment company (that has a chain of cinema halls across the country) for being needlessly expensive and even a restaurant, Churrolto, about their takeaway boxes.

"The point is to make sure no one gets away with anything," says Chaudhari. But they don't hold back on their praises either — case in point, their posts about Mamagoto and the Lad Bazaar, a haven for bangles in Hyderabad. And though the duo are restricted by time and their day jobs, they do their best to continue to be the best buds you can find in Hyderabad!
