New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has succesfully conducted the class 10 Science (subject code: 086) exam today, February 25, 2026. It has conducted the CBSE 10th Science written exam from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at variosu centres across the country and abroad.

Many students who had appeared for the CBSE 10th Science exam said that the exam was of moderate level. The CBSE Class 10 Science question paper 2026 rated as moderate. CBSE Class 10 Maths exam analysis 2026

The CBSE Class 10 Science consists of 80 marks. It consists of three sections: Section A (Biology), Section B (Chemistry) and Section C (Physics). All the questions are compulsary. However, an internal choice is provided in some questions. Students who had appeared for the written exam rated the CBSE 10th Maths question paper as moderate.

Chinar Banga, Shiv Nadar School, said, "The paper remained closely aligned with the NCERT curriculum, reinforcing the importance of conceptual clarity and textbook-based preparation."

Tasneem Rangwala, Witty International School, said, "All three sets of the question paper were student-friendly, thoughtfully designed, and highly approachable, although Set 3 presented a slightly higher level of challenge. The overall difficulty ranged from easy to moderate, with most questions drawn directly from the prescribed syllabus, allowing students to attempt the paper with confidence and clarity."

Priyanka Sahu, Seth MR Jaipuria Schools, said, "The CBSE Class X Science examination followed a clearly defined three-section format, with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics presented separately. This structured approach made the paper more organised and easier for students to navigate. Overall, the paper was moderate in difficulty and closely aligned with the NCERT textbook concepts. The majority of questions were direct and concept-based, rewarding students who had focused on thorough textbook preparation. There were no major surprises in terms of pattern or content."

Vineeta Kadwane, Lancers Army Schools, said, "The CBSE Physics, Chemistry, and Biology papers conducted today were overall well-balanced and in line with the prescribed syllabus. The papers reflected a thoughtful mix of conceptual, application-based, and competency-oriented questions. Overall, the difficulty level was moderate. For sincere and well-prepared students, the papers were fair and achievable, though time management remained important."

Warsha Sawant, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, said, " The paper was student-friendly, and well-prepared students who had thoroughly revised NCERT content and previous years’ questions were able to attempt the paper confidently."

Dr Alka Kapur, Modern Public School, said, "Students reported that effective time management played a crucial role in successfully attempting the examination, particularly while solving Physics numericals and interpreting complex diagrams. Chemistry and Biology were largely concept-based and closely aligned with NCERT content, making them relatively comfortable for well-prepared candidates. Overall, the paper was considered balanced, with a mix of conceptual and application-based questions, allowing students to perform well with consistent practice and clear understanding of fundamentals."

Ranjana Thapar, Satya School, said, "The Grade 10 CBSE Science paper was comprehensive and well-structured, covering all major sections of the syllabus. Students attempted all questions with confidence and displayed a strong grasp of fundamental concepts. The overall level of the paper was moderate. While most questions were straightforward, they required careful reading and sound conceptual clarity to ensure accurate responses."

The Board has introduced two-board format with an aimt to ease the exam pressure for students. The CBSE 10th board exams 2026 will now be held in two shifts - February-March and May. The first session of CBSE Class 10 exams 2026 will be held from February 17 to March 11, 2026.
