AYUSH reduces NEET 2020 cut-off for admission to Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy courses

The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) has announced that it has decided to reduce the NEET 2020 cut-off for admission to Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy (ASU&H) undergraduate courses. The new cut-off will let general category candidates apply if they have a score above the 40th percentile.

For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Caste and Physically Handicapped students, the cut-off has been reduced to 30th and 35th percentile, respectively. The reduced NEET 2021 cutoff can be used for central and state-wise admissions.

The cut-off scores are - 720-147 for unreserved category, 146-113 for SC/ST/OBC, 146-129 for PwD category and 128-113 for PwD candidates who are also SC/ST/OBC. "The Ministry has received various representation requesting to reduce the required percentile criteria in the NEET-2020 in order to be eligible for admission in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy (ASU & H) UG courses, due to various reasons," read the letter from the Director of AYUSH, SRK Vidyarthi. The letter was addressed to all states and UTs and all AYUSH affiliated institutes.

AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) has started the mop-up round of the AYUSH NEET 2020 counselling at aaccc.gov.in. the process will be on till January 23. The last date for choice filling and payment is January 24. AACCC announced the result of the second round of counselling on December 30. A total of 52,720 BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BYNS, and BSMS seats are filled through AYUSH NEET 2020 counselling. As many as 914 colleges participate in the counselling. Only candidates who have qualified NEET 2020 exam are eligible to participate in the AYUSH counselling.
