Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest in front of District Collector's office on Tuesday urging the government to release pending scholarships along with other demands.

The members of ABVP urged the state government to release pending scholarships to the students who have already applied so far. They demanded the government to open all hostels and extend hostel facilities to all students as many hostels were opened only for final year students. The members of the forum demanded the government to appoint guest lecturers immediately by paying them for 12 months, stating many colleges do not have permanent faculty for teaching some subjects. To avoid hindrance with regard to studies, the government needs to consider the demand of appointing the guest faculties on a priority basis, the forum urged.

The students urged the government to provide bus facilities as most of the colleges have reopened recently. They demanded the government to increase the number of buses that were run before lockdown earlier.
