JEE Mains might be conducted up to four times in 2021, said Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal while addressing students, teachers and parents in a live session on Twitter and Facebook.

Answering a question by one of the students he said that the ministry is constantly discussing whether the JEE Mains can be conducted multiple times. "We are constantly having discussions on that. We are also discussing the syllabus and whether we need to reduce it owing to the situation," said Pokhriyal. "We will try to make the exams as smooth as possible for you," he added.

Ahead of the session, the Union Minister had asked the people to share their concerns with the Education Ministry to help the students.

"Dear teachers, parents and students, happy to share that I am going to live on December 10 at 10 am to talk about upcoming competitive/board exams with you. Drop your concerns below using #EducationMinisterGoesLive," he tweeted.

In a video shared by him on Twitter, Pokhriyal congratulated the teachers and parents to help students adapt to the online modes of education amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
