Tamil Nadu Results: 95% pass SSLC, re-totalling from May 2, supplementary exams from June 14

The Board of Secondary Education, Tamil Nadu, also known as the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), released the results of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class X examinations at 9:30 am on the official results websites on April 29. A total of 95.2 per cent students have passed in Tamil Nadu class 10 board exam. The highest pass percentage has been recorded in Tirupur district (98.53%) followed by Ramanathapuram (98.48%) and Namakkal (98.45%). The pass percentage for girls has increased this year. Last year, 96.4 per cent girls passed whereas this year 97 per cent girls have cleared SSLC. Nearly, 9 lakh 60 thousand students had appeared for the exam in March, this year.

The students can apply for re-totalling of their marks from May 2 till 5.45pm on May 4, 2019. The forms for the same will be available with the schools. The students can submit the form at their respective schools. They were adviced by the board to keep the receipt of the submission safe for further reference. The submission receipt will be needed to access their totalled results. Retotalling of First Language and English papers will cost Rs 305 each while a fee of Rs 205 will be needed for re-totalling of the additional subject, Maths, Science and Social Science paper each.

Supplementary Exams will be held from June 14 to June 22, 2019, and applications forms for it will be made available soon.

Students can check results via 'Tamilnadu Board Result 2019, SSLC & HSC Result' app, available in Google Play store and Apple play store. Results are also available on tnresults.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in, dge1.tn.nic.in. Students who have registered their numbers in schools will receive SMS about their result.
