People should enrol their children in government schools, says singer G V Prakash
The composer-and-actor was inaugurating kindergarten classes in a government school in Marakanam in Villupuram
During the inaugural kindergarten classes in government schools, in Marakanam, actor cum musician G V Prakash Kumar requested the public to enroll their children in government schools. Education department source said that GVP decided to sponsor English medium kindergarten classes in forty schools across the state.
Government primary school in Kandhadu village near Marakanam is one among them and it was the first ever English medium kindergarten classes inaugural ceremony that was held on Wednesday.Villupuram district chief education officer Munusamy led the ceremony, while G V Prakash Kumar took part as chief guest. Due to lack of teachers, admission in Government schools getting decreased. So, he decided to this government schothe ol and sponsor the salary of the teachers for one academic year. He further said that by Vijayadasami, he will adopt six more schools. In this function, Marakanam block education officers Jaisankar, Ilangezhian, school head mistress Premalatha, patents teachers association president Gawaskar, education department officials and tea hers took part.
