On a winning streak: Why students should look out for Gujarat's Parul University for higher studies

Yet again Parul University has proved that it’s one of the best educational institutions of Gujarat. Recently the BCA College of Parul University was ranked at 37th place in a survey carried out by India Today at the national level while the BBA college was ranked at 66th place in a national survey carried out by Times Group. Infrastructure, faculty, placement, globalisation, research was some of the several parameters taken into consideration for this survey. 

On the other hand, students of Bachelor of Design degree programme were declared winners in India Design Week organized in Mumbai. Students who presented innovative design using eco-friendly fabric were also awarded Best Innovative Debut Designer at the event. 

Students of Hotel Management and Catering Technology also made the University proud by securing third position in Vedic Cuisine competition held at a private varsity in Surat. 

Also, recently students of BCA degree programme were offered attractive salary packages by well-known companies such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Reliance Digital during placement drives. Last year, Manoranjan, a BCA student was offered a very lucrative salary package by Google. Students of BCA are imparted training in Soft Skills and Technical Skills by NASSCOM which play pivotal role in selection during placement drives. 

The university takes special care to enhance employability skills of students of B.Com degree programme. For this MOU was signed with ICA through which students are trained extensively in accounting and finance including Tally-ERP.

Similarly, students of BA degree programme are trained by highly qualified teachers in tailor-made curriculum comprising 48 subjects including industry exposure, club activity and training in foreign languages such as French and German. 

In recently held Lok Sabha elections, students of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Social Work (Human Resource Management) degree programmes in collaboration with Vadodara Collector Office, had extended help to differently abled and senior citizen in casting votes that resulted in higher percentage of voting by differently abled persons and senior citizens. 

Law students of Parul University were recently declared winners in Best Advocate and Moot Court Competitions. Theophilus and Wilfred secured first position in Inter University Debate Competition organized by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi at national level. Foreign students from eight nationalities pursue their higher studies at the law college here. Wilfred Makawu, a Zimbabwean student won the National Moot Court Competition organized by a private varsity in surat and got the Best Advocate Award. Best Professor Award was conferred on Dr Akil Saiyed, Dean, Faculty of Law, by Business School Affairs (Mumbai) for his exceptional contribution in law education.
