JEE Main 2020 dates released: Here's when and how you need to apply

The online registration process for JEE Main (I) 2020 will end on September 30 and the admit cards will be available on December 6

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the examinations to be conducted by the agency during December 2019 to June 2020. The official release laid down the schedule for the various examinations that the agency conducts such as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate courses, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, UGC-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), the JNU Entrance Test and more.

NTA is all set to begin the application process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main meant for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture colleges across the country. 

The examination dates span from January 6 to 11, 2020. Further, the results will be out on January 31.

The online application process for JEE Main (I) 2020 is set to begin from next week, September 2, 2019.

The NTA will conduct the application process of JEE (Main) 2020 on their official website. You can register on jeemain.nic.in.

How to apply for JEE Main:
The process starts with the JEE Main registration, filling in details, uploading photograph, signature and documents followed by payment of application fee. While filling the application form for the exams in 2020, the candidates will have to provide valid personal, academic and communication details as well as details of a valid photo ID. Fee payment can be done online through net banking/credit card/debit card and offline through SBI e-challan. Once the application process is complete, a confirmation page is generated, which is to be printed by candidates and kept handy for further reference.

There have been a few changes to the JEE Main 2020 examination. JEE Main has been made mandatory for foreign-nationals seeking admissions to NITs, IIITs and other government-funded engineering colleges in India. It will be conducted twice — the first session will be held in January and second in April.

In 2019, the JEE Main April edition was conducted throughout the country and abroad on April 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 through the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
