Rajhunsgad, also known as Yellur Fort', which once upon a time was felt to be totally neglected, is now becoming a popular spot attracting many tourists and local people in Belagavi built by the Ratta Dynasty and later renovated by Asad Khan Lari, a Persian noble of Vijayapura, Rajhunsgad is back again regaining its lost beauty. Thanks to the various Yuvak Mandals and members of different clubs who are carrying out cleanliness activities in the fort premises and also creating awareness among visitors here to maintain the cleanliness.

The Yuvak Mandals have also installed several dustbins within the fort premises. They keep an eye on the activities of the visitors and restrict them from writing on the walls of the fort or dirtying the place which can damage the beauty of the place. Ashish Porwal, a businessman from Hubballi had been to Rajhunsgad along with his family. He was delighted to see the changes and  said, "We appreciate this work of the youngsters who are concerned about the fort and its beauty. There are setting example to other youngsters."

In the recent days, several bicycle club members daily ride to and fro, from Belagavi city to Rajhunsgad. Ganesh Ashtekar, resident of Yellur village near the fort said that a group of youngsters including school children from villages including Yellur, Rajhunsgad (village), Desur, Sulga and surrounding villages visit Rajhunsgad for cleaning it. He added, "They have started restricting miscreants from creating any kind of nuisance in that fort premises. Also police are giving a visit to the fort premises at regular intervals. Due to the same, families including women and children have started visiting the fort. It seems the mantra of `Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' has worked on Rajhunsgad, making it's a center of attraction for several people in and around Belagavi.
