Aayush Bijalwan from the School of Design, UPES in Dehradun designed a swanky version of the TVS NTORQ and walked away as the winner of the Call of Design Season 2, a contest run by TVS Motor Company. For his rendition of the SuperNTORQ. He received a TVS NTORQ 125 and a cash prize of Rs 30,000.

The contest began in August 2020 and received over 600 registrations from over 35 prestigious design institutes across the country. All the participants had to design their version of the SuperNTORQ based on a unique comic book theme called the Rise of Ntorqians. They were asked to create 2D renditions and sketches of their SuperNTORQ. The expert jury then shortlisted the entries by evaluating adherence to the comic book theme, futuristic concept, innovation and resonance with a Super Machine. Finally, the overall execution had to create a synergy with the vision of TVS Racing that was established in 1987 with the objective of improving the performance of its bikes.

Aayush, who studies Transportation Design at UPES said "It was a great opportunity and a huge platform to showcase our skills. We had to create our version of the TVS NTORQ as a race machine adhering to the sci-fi comic book theme. We were provided training and guidance from experts before we submitted our final designs. My inspiration was sci-fi jet fighters from the Star Wars movie franchise. The scooter basically had to look futuristic, innovative but also had to be usable and feasible." Aayush's rendition of the TVS NTORQ is an electric scooter built for high-performance and racing with an advanced power system. He added that it is typically meant for a single person to drive but.

Abishek Chellapandiyan from Strate School of Design, Bengaluru bagged the first runner-up position in the contest, followed by Arsh Riyaz Maknojia from MIT Institute of Design, Pune. Over the years, TVS Motor Company has created unique two-wheeler designs and TVS NTORQ 125 – India’s first connected scooter is a testimony to that. To celebrate its strong design language, they organised the first edition of TVS NTORQ 125 Call of Design in 2019 contest for reputed design institutes and automobile enthusiasts all over the country. The contest received an overwhelming response from participants who created their rendition of the scooter as a race machine. This year too, despite the pandemic, people participated from across the country.
