Because his YouTube channel, SSJ Productions, gives viewers first-hand knowledge about guitars in India, what kind of guitar best suits a budding musician, its maintenance, technology-related tips etc.
"There are many musicians who run a YouTube channel to teach music lessons. Even I have one such channel. But the most recent one that I've created, which has a video series called Guitar Gear Gyan, is meant only to review various guitars and the accessories. These reviews are not influenced by any brands and are unbiased. Apart from this, I also give tech tips about intonation, model projects and lessons," says Sahil, who feels that he is giving back to art by reviewing guitars and telling people about instruments.
Till date, Sahil has reviewed some incredible gear including the Calor Force20 guitar amplifier, Yamaha SLG200S, Kepma F1EGA and so on. Sahil, who calls himself a 'spiritual rocker', doesn't stop with just reviewing guitars, he also helps viewers understand the pedals that are important — in one of his videos, where he has reviewed MusiWewe Pedals, he tells the viewers what kind of pedals one must choose. He suggests that beginners choose "Deep Red Distortion and Light Red Delay as they can produce transparent and organic music instead of noisy music."
Similarly, he also educates amateur guitarists or beginnners about the kind of guitars they must choose. He says, "There are many guitars that are worth all the money you pay but it also depends on the kind of music that they are going to play. While some people prefer to use nylon string guitar, others prefer electric guitar. The quality guitar that I suggest is Kepma F1EGA which is a new guitar in India. This time, we are looking forward to achieving 5,000 subscribers and there will be another give away guitar to another child who genuinely loves playing it." In the coming days, Sahil plans to interview some famous musicians and post these on his YouTube channel.
