For Founder Prasanth Parameswaran, Mega Exams is a game changer for the world of education. It doesn't take long for him to launch into a passionate argument about why digital examinations are the future and why Indian students must be prepared for it. He says, "Let's say you are running a coaching class for around ten students in Attingal or some remote area. What you can do is reach out to the Mega Exams space and we will help your students compete on a pan-India level. Basically, we take away the drawbacks of residing in a smaller town when it comes to competing in larger examinations."

"We want smaller, less connected parts of the states to be able to compete fairly with the rest of the country. That's one of the major things that we do," he reiterates. The company, which is based out of Bengaluru and Trivandrum, is primarily involved in redesigning the way in which we deal with education. Prasanth explains, "How we help through our actual product is that we take these online coaching centres and other institutions and assist them in migrating to the digital mode."

DIGI DATE: Digital exams will increase in importance in the near future

But Prasanth believes that we are digressing from the crux of the conversation. Although his company offers a unique solution for students and educational institutions to transition to a digital space, he believes that the need of the hour goes infinitely beyond the company itself. "We understand that some media attention will bring us more mileage in the business world. But honestly, we are more interested in sending out information to students about why this is beneficial for them and why they should opt for digital exams," he explains.

"In all honestly, it is the idea that we are floating that is more important than anything else. It is a philosophy and general thought process that I have as a person and we share as a company," he assures me. "We want to put out some information that will be useful for students regardless of how we go about it." The company has already become a platform for students to support themselves off of without being concerned about assisting themselves.

Prasanth continues to steer us towards the big picture. "This time the JEE exams are going to be completely digital for the first time," he reminds me. "A lot of students and parents alike have a lot of concerns about how it is going to go. This is because they are unaware of the format as a whole. And because digital examinations are undoubtedly the future, it is our responsibility to educate people on how such platforms work. Because it will be extremely crucial for the upcoming years." Prasanth presses on about the importance of digital platforms and the urgency for us to be able to deal with them. Let's hope educational platforms are listening.
