New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has succesfully conducted the Class 12 Accountancy exam today, February 24, 2026. It has conducted the CBSE Class 12 Accountancy (subject code: 055) from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Candidates who had appeared for CBSE Class 12 Accountancy exam rated the question paper as moderate. A few students said Part A is tricky compared to Part B. Explore key details regarding CBSE Class 12 Accountancy answer key 2026 pdf along with CBSE Class 12 Accountancy exam analysis 2026.

The CBSE Class 12 Accountancy question paper consists of two Part A and B. The Part A is compulsory for all candidates. While, Part - B has two options (i) Analysis of Financial Statements and (ii) Computerised Accounting. Students were given option to attempt only one of options. One should note that questions 1 to 16 and 27 to 30 carries 1 mark each.

There is no overall choice. However, an internal choice has been provided in 7 questions of one mark, 2 questions of three marks, 1 question of four marks and 2 questions of six marks.

Principal Dr Alka Kapur, Modern Public School, said, "The level of the paper was easy to moderate but a little lengthy .The questions were direct and simple. Some of the MCQs require logical application to answer correctly. The paper was overall good. The part b (analysis of financial statements) is easy and direct. Part A (Partnership and Company Accounts) includes a case study and direct questions. All the questions from the syllabus and simple."

Mr Chitrabhanu Murdia, Witty International School, said, "The CBSE Class 12 Accountancy Board Examination this year brought a sense of reassurance to students, as the paper was fair, well-balanced, and thoughtfully structured. All question sets followed the expected pattern and were aligned closely with the prescribed syllabus. The overall difficulty level ranged from easy to moderate, allowing students to approach the exam with confidence."

Priyanka Sapra, Shiv Nadar School, said, "The Accountancy paper was well-balanced and closely aligned with the prescribed syllabus, which helped students approach it with confidence. Overall, they were satisfied with the structure and level of difficulty. The questions were largely concept-based and familiar, enabling effective application of understanding. Most sections were straightforward, and the numerical questions were manageable. Students were able to complete the paper comfortably within the allotted time, with adequate time for revision."

CBSE Class 12 Accountancy answer key 2026

Students should note that the CBSE Class 12 Accountancy answer key 2026 pdf will not be available after the exam. One can verify their responses based on the provisional answer keys available on the private coaching institutes and third-party websites. Students can use the unofficial answer key only to calculate the raw score. One should note that evaluation will not be based on the unofficial answer key.
