The registration window for the first round of counselling under the Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) 2025 has officially opened today, June 27. As noted by Economic Times, this process is for aspirants seeking admission into polytechnic diploma programmes across the state.
Eligible candidates — those who have cleared the JEECUP 2025 exam — can now visit jeecup.admissions.nic.in to register. Once registered, they must complete the crucial step of choice filling and locking by July 2. Applicants are advised to list their preferred institutions in descending order of priority. Seat allotment will then begin on July 3, based on both merit and the submitted preferences.
There are seven rounds planned for counselling and allotment in total. As highlighted by Economic Times, each round will declare results based on updated choices and availability.
Candidates who receive a seat must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 3,000. Following this, document verification will be conducted offline. Aspirants are required to report to their designated institutions in person with hard copies of key documents.
The essential documents include the JEECUP 2025 admit card and rank card, counselling allotment letter, mark sheets and certificates from the qualifying exam, character certificate, domicile certificate, and two passport-size photographs. If applicable, a migration certificate and reservation certificate are also needed. Two sets of photocopies of all these documents must be submitted for verification.
It’s important to note that failure to report to the assigned institution for verification can result in admission cancellation.
For those eyeing polytechnic seats in Uttar Pradesh, this multi-stage counselling process marks the final step toward securing a spot, but only if all instructions and timelines are closely followed.
