NTA alerts JEE applicants to fake website that's duping them by collecting fees for exam

The National Testing Agency has issued an alert about fake websites claiming to accept online applications and fee payments for the Joint Entrance Examinations. The NTA stated that they have been receiving complaints that some people have created a fake website through which payments are being solicited.

The NTA cautioned users about the website with the URL - jeeguide.co.in in the name of JEE Mains 2021, through which online applications and fee payments are being solicited for the exam from interested candidates. “In the said URL, an email address: info@jeeguide.co.in and mobile number: 9311245307 have also been provided for receiving communications in this regard. There could be many more such websites through which unscrupulous elements might be trying to deceive the aspiring candidates for JEE (MAIN) – 2021. In the above regard, it is clarified that neither NTA nor any of its employees have any association with the website or the phone number,” the NTA said in its notice.

The NTA clarified that the only genuine/ official website for receiving applications and examination fees is jeemain.nta.nic.in. The NTA said that it will be lodging a complaint with the cyber crime cell of the Delhi Police against the website. “Aspiring candidates and their parents/guardians are advised not to be misled by such websites or agents/elements behind it. They are further advised to register a formal complaint with their respective local police station/cyber crime cell, under intimation of the same to NTA at: grivance@nta.ac.in, as and when coming across such fake websites or any unscrupulous agents/elements,” the NTA informed.
