Here's how you can apply for vacant medical seats by January 6 if you have cleared NEET

These 'stray' vacancy rounds will be conducted by the deemed, central universities and institutes, AIIMS, JIPMER after the MCC forwards the list of eligible candidates

Medical aspirants who had cleared NEET but have not been able to find a college can now register for the vacant seats at mcc.nic.in by 12 pm, January 6. They have to go to the colleges from January 7 to 15 for physical reporting. The session will start from February 2, said an official notice.

“Colleges must display the eligibility conditions on their website well before the commencement of the Stray Vacancy round in order to enable the participating candidates to make an informed decision. The candidates must be allowed to register online. However, the physical presence of candidates along with original documents is a must at the time of admission. Candidates must be physically present during the time of admission or verification of documents at the college. Any authorised person in absence of the candidate must not be entertained,” the notice read.  

These 'stray' vacancy rounds will be conducted by the deemed, central universities and institutes, AIIMS, JIPMER after the MCC forwards the list of eligible candidates. The students will then be allotted seats strictly on merit.

Here's how one can apply:

- You can either log in to the college's website or mcc.nic.in
- Register yourself by clicking on the new registration tab
- Register yourself with all the required details
- Fill up the rest of the form
- Pay the fee and finally submit
