The ADOPT-CSS programme launch

Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal launched the ADOPT-CSS, a digital programme for teaching and non-teaching staff on child safety and security on Tuesday. Pokhriyal said that this online programme will guide 80 lakh teachers and non-teaching staff of the country to ensure the safety of school children.

"At the same time, it will also help to make the school environment fully supportive, useful, and comfortable for children. Any new policy, any new programme is built on top of this structure. The ADOPT-CSS will definitely prove to be a milestone in ensuring a safe environment for children in schools." he added.

Furthermore, the union minister spoke about how the new National Education Policy 2020 will carefully track the learning levels of students as well as their participation in schools and bring back those children who have left their studies in the middle.
