Madurai govt schools to have separate coordinator to monitor NEET training, performance

A separate co-ordinator has been deputed in all Government and Government aided schools in the Madurai district to coach the NEET aspirants to secure good marks in the academic year 2020-21. In view of COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, School Education Department has started teaching lessons through the online E-box.

This year, as many as 790 students have been registered to attend online E-box NEET coaching. As per the Chief Educational Officer R Swaminathan guidelines, a separate co-ordinator has been deputed in all Government and Government aided schools in the district to coach the NEET aspirants. Speaking to Express, S Vennila Devi, District Co-ordinator for NEET Examination said that totally 790 students have been registered to attend online E-box NEET coaching. Of this, 368 students from Government schools and 464 from Government aided schools.

With that, test repeaters from Government and Government aided schools have been also registered which is three times higher than the last year, she said. She further stated that a teacher from each Government and Government aided schools has been deputed to motivate and monitor the performance of the NEET aspirants from their respective school. A separate Whatsapp group has also been created to facilitate the aspirants. Through WhatsApp group, video lessons would be posted. Each day, students will be given a test. Likewise, every week, they will have formative, assessment test and descriptive text for 60 marks which covers the subjects of Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology, she added.
