TNAU extends UG admission online counselling dates as state braces for cyclone Nivar

In view of the Nivar cyclone forecast, the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has extended the days for its online counselling of undergraduate admission 2020 on Tuesday. The counselling now begins on November 26 and extends up to December 1, 2020. The cyclone is set to make landfall on November 25 between Karaikal and Mamallapuram, the Indian Meteorological Department informed.

The online counselling will be conducted for three days up to November 28, M Kalyanasundaram, Dean and Chairman Admissions, TNAU had earlier said in a release. Subsequently, offline counselling for special reservations (Ex-Servicemen, Differently abled, Sports and Vocational) was to be conducted on November 30 and December 1.

Seat and degree programme allotment for general quota candidates will be informed online on December 2. The scheduled date and time of certificate verification will be intimated to the candidates through their registered email and mobile number. Following this, from December 7 to 12, 600 candidates will be called for each day to verify the certificates by following standard operating procedure and guidelines issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu for COVID-19. The provisional seat allotment letter will be issued accordingly, release added. For diploma candidates, offline counselling will be conducted from December 3 to 6.

The detailed information regarding online and offline counselling for general quota, special reservations (including NRI and Industrial quota) for degree programs respectively and offline counselling for the diploma will be available in the university website https://tnauonline.in
