Tamil Nadu's KalviTV has 2,100 on its YouTube channel, plans to broadcast on TV soon

The pandemic has revolutionised how we consume content. And educational content is no different! As classes have gone online and more and more online courses being launched every day. In Tamil Nadu, state-government-backed Kalvi TV's YouTube channel, where videos have been uploaded since the lockdown, has become quite popular. The channel has now got a bank of over 2,000 videos for students of various classes, which can be accessed for free. The government channel now plans to broadcast these videos on TV as well so that the content reaches more students. 

The administration of KalviTVOfficial YouTube channel has said that 2,100 video lessons for class II to XII students have been uploaded so far. It said 1.6 million viewers have watched the channel and that watch hours stands at 64,000. 

Meanwhile, the Special Officer of Kalvi channel has instructed the district educational officers to spread awareness about the video lessons streaming on Kalvi channel and 11 private channels. 

A technical staff of Kalvi channel said, "The channel has garnered around 144k subscribers. The subscription rate is in an upward trend. As permission for Satellite Broadcasting has been granted for the channel, students can now watch it through Cable Television and DTH technology."
