Cyclone Amphan ravaged the southern part of West Bengal on Wednesday, impacting several districts, including Kolkata, Howrah, North and South 24 Parganas. The superstorm has killed at least 80 people till now, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said.

Citizens in several parts of Kolkata and its nearby districts did not have access to electricity and water throughout Thursday, with communication lines also damaged. Some parts of the city are yet to get their power and mobile networks restored. What caused this was the uprooting of over 5,000 trees across the city which snapped power and telephone lines.

Here are some visuals, which the author curated from Facebook, shared by citizens of Kolkata, highlighting the aftermath of Amphan in the city and beyond.
