NEET 2020 admit card not released on March 27 amid lockdown, no decision yet on new date

The National Testing Agency will not issue NEET 2020 admit cards on Friday due to the outbreak of Coronavirus that has led to a shutdown of all kinds of services in the country. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 hall ticket numbers were also supposed to be released on the official website https://ntaneet.nic.in/ntaneet/welcome.aspx.

The agency was supposed to release the admit cards on March 27, but it has now been delayed until April 14, when the 21-day long nationwide lockdown ends. Hide quoted text “We are not releasing the admit cards tomorrow (Friday). However, there is no decision yet on rescheduling the exam. We are in touch with all the agencies and will take a final call after coordinating with everyone,” an official from the NTA told ThePrint. He also added that the NTA will issue an official circular in this regard later on Friday.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, a NEET official told the news organisation that the admit card release date has been deferred for the time being. The exam conducting authority hasn't decided on the revised dates of the release of admit cards as of now. The NEET 2020 examination is scheduled to be held on May 3. However, there have been speculations that the examination dates might undergo a change as well due to the current lockdown. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in 11 languages across various centres in India. The NTA will release NEET 2020 results on June 4, 2020.

Step 1: Visit the official website - ntaneet.nic.in

Step 2: Look for a tab “NEET 2020 admit card download’ and click on it

Step 3: Enter the registration number and password

Step 4: Download NEET 2020 Hall ticket and keep a copy with you Aspirants preparing for the NEET 2020 examination are advised to keep visiting the official website for future updates.

The NEET exam is conducted for admission to MBBS/BDS courses and other undergraduate medical courses in recognised medical and dental institutes across the country.
