Miscreants spread rumours of fake SSLC time-table, KSEEB clarifies there is no change

A fake time-table is making news on Whatsapp, Facebook and elsewhere creating confusion among students and parents. However, the time-table continues to remain the same and there are no changes

While COVID-19 outbreak has become a serious concern across the world after the World Health Organisation has announced it as a pandemic, some miscreants have spread rumours about changes in exam dates of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams. They tried to put out a fake timetable on the social media which led to confusion among students and parents. According to the fake timetable, the exam date shows from March 20 to April 3, 2020. The same has also been put up on the website of mapsofindia.com.

However, the timetable and exam dates continue to remain the same. As per the KSEEB, the exams will begin on March 27 and end on April 9. When we asked Sumangala V, Director, KSEEB, if there are any changes, she said, "The timetable will continue to remain the same and these are just rumours. Students or parents need not worry or fear about this."

March 30 - Science, Political Science, Karnataka/Hindustani music
April 1- Second Language
April 3- Third Language/ NSQF Exam subjects
April 4- Elements of mechanical and electrical engineering, engineering graphic, elements of electronic engineering, elements of computer science, economics
April 7 - Mathematics, sociology
April 9 - Social Science
