Despite taking strict measures by fixing cameras across all the exam centres, a paper leak incident happened in Sri Shanteshwar PU Women's College in Vijayapura. As per the release from the Director of Department Of Pre-University Education (DDPUE), an hour after the exam began, some miscreants have clicked the pictures of the Physics question paper on their mobile camera through the window and leaked it on social media.

The release also stated that bringing mobiles or any electronic gadgets to the exam hall is restricted. Several notices were sent to PU colleges across Karnataka regarding the same in the interest of students. "Now that the papers have been photographed and leaked, a criminal case will be booked under Karnataka Education Act Section 24 (a) against the people who were involved in this act and they will be interrogated," the press release read.

On Wednesday, around 6,80,498 candidates appeared for PUC 2 board examinations out of which 5,61,530 are fresh candidates and the remaining are repeaters. As a part of the security measures, police constables have been deployed at all the exam centres and use of mobile phones or digital watches are banned both for students and invigilators.
