A day after Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union President Aishe Ghosh was discharged from the hospital, she was slapped with an FIR for vandalisation and attacking security on campus. Even though the Delhi Police has not yet arrested any members of the mob that attacked several students and wrecked the campus, the FIR was filed against Ghosh and several other students.

The JNU administration filed a case against Ghosh and many of the other protesters for vandalising property and also attacking the security guards. In their statement, while condemning the incident, the administration pinned the blame on the students protesting against fee hike. Despite the fact that the protesting students were the ones who were severely injured by the mob, the administration has accused the Students' Union of causing the clash on Sunday.

Ghosh has said in a press conference that she will continue to keep up the fight. Several people on social media have been posting about the identities of the members of the mob but the police have not made any arrests. Ironically, the ABVP Joint Secretary, Anima Sonkar said on national television that those who were masked were the party's activists."In all the WhatsApp groups,so much panic was spread...whenever you are stepping out,go in groups, step out with rods...whatever you get handy, pepper spray, acid,"he said.

A 'Raksha Dal' member also released a video on Facebook taking responsibility for the attacks. Several students from JNU have also shared the video and demanded the police to take action.
