NEET examination centres to be increased in Manipur, govt schools to be utilised: State Education Minister

Manipur Education Minister Dr Thokchom Radheshyam today said the Chairman of the National Testing Agency (NTA) has assured that the numbers of examination centres for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) set to be held on September 13, 2020 will be increased and that the state government schools will be utilised as examination centres along with the schools under Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

He said that through telephonic conversation on Wednesday the Chairman of the National Testing Agency (NTA) was highlighted about the grievances of the parents and aspirants of the State. He stated that many queries have been raised by the stakeholders regarding the examination centres and conduct of examination with the prevailing pandemic and lockdown in the state.

The minister was speaking at his Office Chamber at New Secretariat. Dr Radheshyam said the Chairman of the NTA has given assurance on increasing the number of the examination centres for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) and that provisions will be made to enable the state candidates to appear in the examination in the state as well. He added that necessary arrangement to abide by the SOP and other needed precautionary measures have also been taken.

The minister appealed to the aspiring students for the said examination to prepare well and come out with flying colours.
